So yo. Must be wondering is SWW still even alive?! Been so long since my last myVox blog! Some of you must also be wondering where the hell this album is that I've been talking of since March eh? Well... it is on it's way, promise! Was worrying about how long its taking until recently informed that The Roots took like 6 years to finish one of their first albums, so I'm like shiiiish man no worries mate! Plus that's what happens making an album on a none-existent budget. (and if you haven't heard of The Roots, seriously what?!!!??!)
Well the last few months have been spent slowly laying it all down, (oh have you heard that wicked new Al Green album 'Lay It Down'? wooee), developing parts and old ideas, changing my mind constantly, doing a hundred million different versions of 'Mental', crying in between takes on my bass (the pain of newly blistering skin!), re-recording live beautiful Yamaha upright piano instead of fake keyboards, twice, listening to PJ Harvey and suddenly wanting to play electric guitar on this album but realising I can't, and TRICKard of course all the while has been compiling deeply groovin and original drum tracks for me at his StickTrickProductions studio, in the more south westerly regions of Londinium (where people get mugged even more than in Lewisham).
Now my friends I am beginning to close in on all of the re-recording, vocals to follow shortly once I fully recover from my case of winter flu, and a possible few bass guitar features from Chris Borud, then... we shall be at the mixing stages!! "Hurrah hurrah" they all shouted. Shizzle. So plans for release are around about February now. Also keep your ear to the ground (or more likely your eyes on the emails) as I shall soon be spreading my wings out and beyond this solitary studio lifestyle and gigging once again.
So thanks for reading the SWW latest. I'll try not to leave it forever until the next SWW update, plus try not be one of those annoying artists that posts reeeally long messages either... erm.
Best

Anyways thought I would share my wonderful news:
Got my second airing on the radio!
The BBC have been showing me some kind support recently. This time 'Fool' was played on Gary Crowley's Saturday show (6-8pm)! You can listen again here. (Just like to point out he says I play guitar, which I don't really...I've always played piano!)
