snowy Spring weekend! My mum, the crazy cat that she is, kept trying to make me go tobogganing with
her yesterday...too freaky though, all that damn snow in April! But kinda wish I had now... it's the most snow I've bloomin seen in ages!
Anyways thought I would share my wonderful news:
Got my second airing on the radio!
The BBC have been showing me some kind support recently. This time 'Fool' was played on Gary Crowley's Saturday show (6-8pm)! You can listen again here. (Just like to point out he says I play guitar, which I don't really...I've always played piano!)

Also...
Blue tits, sparrows, ladies and all things bird like take to the stage at this one off Birdwatching event in the sunny southwest that is Tooting Broadway. The Sarah Williams White Duo will be playing at this one-off about 8pm, Sat 29th march:

A photographer called Imelda Michalczyk took these pics at my gig with Feed The Monkey @ Jrink bar. (although i need to point out i stuck that funny little border round the 1st one...just incase she gets pissed with me for ruining her work!)
I'll be back doing another gig for these lovely guys at The World's End, Finsbury Park thurs 20th march.

Would love to hear what people think of the tracks. Hibernation from cold weather over autumn/winter meant that I went on a big writing and recording spree in my colourful blue bedroom. Thus, 'Bite' and 'Voices' were born! Actually I finished off Bite during a trip to Cornwall, in beautiful Port Issac (which I almost didn't get to, because of my banger of a car we call Nobby). Luckily for Bite, the shite weather led to being stuck inside, again. So I spent the time banging on the table and recording it, and shaking my maracas. Voices grew from an idea I had at the piano, I then took it to my wonderfully creative and talented boyfriend drummer TRICKard who lay down a sick drum track. The rest I done here in my li'l studio with my 2nd best friend in the whole world, Roland rd170.
I have been told I need to talk about my songs and the meanings behind them more, especially on stage... But I hate doing it! Whether it's cos I'm lazy or I'm just scared I'll end up chatting crap again, I like to think lyrically they explain themselves quite well! But if I must... Bite is about the positive, confident, and motivating part of my brain, that keeps pushing me to work harder. I was actually feeling proper in a rut when I wrote it, but it did get me up off my whining arse. And Voices is about someone I used to know who was basically a mean bitch, but she had issues like everyone else so forgive let live 'n all that.
Anyhooo, hope u enjoy the songs and maybe some of u can even relate. Let me know.

And HAPPY 2008!!
Sorry it's been soooo long since I've said hello to u my Vox fam...I've been quite busy with life, and finishing uni (freeeedom)! So many online pages to keep running too, what with Myspaze, Facefook etc etc...I forgot bout this li'l gem! Plus, I've been doing a load more writing & recording...oooo exciting I hear u say?! Yes indeedy. A couple new songs & new recording will be posted up shortly!
I'm really excited about this year... lots more gigging (with some possible festivals in the pipelines), lots more writing, collaborations, and here's hoping for even more unexpected happenings! Wooooo!
And I hope to whoever is reading this, that 2008 brings u ur own wonderful adventures, and deep inner happiness ;)
